For the record, this has the same end effect as destructive wave, which is a spell found in the PHB but not the SRD. Aside from a paraphrased name and description, the main difference is that this spell has an "At Higher Levels" option. Although a paladin can't cast a spell above 5th level, a homebrew class with access to this spell might be able to do so. - Guy (talk) 12:26, 31 July 2017 (MDT)

Unlike destructive wave, this spell:
  • Deals 8d8 thunder damage instead of '5d6 thunder damage plus 5d6 necrotic/radiant damage.'
  • Appears on the druid spell list.
  • Invokes a Strength save instead of a Constitution save.
  • Has an "At Higher Levels" option.
  • Has aesthetic differences.
