A flare is a type of pyrotechnic that produces a brilliant light or intense heat without an explosion. Flares are used for signalling, illumination, or defensive countermeasures in civilian and military applications.
Flare kits are sold with a hand-held brass tube and three launching flares.
Flares used as a weapon do 1d6 fire damage.
- Flares can only exist in campaigns with gunpowder.
