Side Sword

Martial Melee Weapons
Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties
Side Sword 25 gp 1d6 Piercing 2 1/2 lb. Light, Special

Evolved from the arming sword and predecessor to the rapier, the side sword is an older cut-and-thrust style dueling sword. It is heavier, but has a thinner profile, allowing swift attacks. In dueling, it has been known to be paired with a smaller defensive blade. The duelist can choose to deal damage as piercing or slashing.
