You know something? "All magic weapons are automatically considered to be of masterwork quality. The enhancement bonus granted by the masterwork quality doesn’t stack with the enhancement bonus provided by the weapon’s magic. " Then.. why are they automatically considered to be masterwork, if they actually aren't? Masterwork and magic weapons should be different. It's not like a magic weapon that already exists can become masterwork, and if someone constructs a magical weapon masterfully, why shouldn't it get a physical bonus to attack? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.83.216.130 (talkcontribs) . It's not that they aren't masterwork, it's that their masterwork bonus doesn't stack with the enhancement bonus. If the magical properties were somehow suppressed, you'd still be holding a masterwork weapon. As for the magic weapon that already exists... how did it come to existence in the first place? Someone had to make it, and when they did, it was masterwork. If it bothers you that you can't get non-masterwork magic weapons, then just say that non-masterwork aren't of high enough quality to be able to contain the magical energies.
