Wild Kattai

Personality

The personalties between Wikai (wild kattai) and Dokai (domestic kattai) vary very little, with the exception of that Dokai are more educated than there "eccentric" cousins. The only true differance in their outlooks is that Wikai are more in tune with nature than their civilized cousins and consider many animals to be either their equals or even above them.

Physical Description

Wikai tend to be leaner than their civilized cousins due to diet and living conditions, with slightly darker skin and long, tangled hair. Wikai have no need for the complicated and flamboyant dress of the dokai and prefer simple clothing made of pelt that has the effect of covering very little skin. Depending on their regional habitat, many have either built endurance to cold or hot. Their life style has even enhanced their senses to give them a better chance to survive in the wild.

Relations

Wikai are more removed from Agyanu than the Dokai, being even on hard terms with the Dokai. They exchange the alienation of their own kin for a strong bond with nature itself, caring for the animal and fauna that exist in their lands.

Alignment and Honor

Honor is an alien concept to the Wikai for it was an invention of the dokai. Though made out to be evil, lawless beasts that care only for themselves, the Wikai have as much sense duty and tradition as do the wikai, but finds good and evil to be empty terms without any true meaning.

Lands

The wikai inhabit many areas of Mewji inwhich the dokai have deemed unihabital from snow covered mountains to baren deserts. The wikai live in small nomadic tribes which migrate from spot to spot whenever food becomes scarce with in a region. Unlike Dokai, their tribes have no leader and they in a state of mutual governing, each member contributing as either a hunter (gathering food for the tribe) or gatherer (collecting medicinal herbs for the use of the shaman).

Religion

The wikai worship the lunar trinity like the dokai, but also hold as much respect and revere (if not more) for nature itself.

Language

If a wikai learns Mewji, that would be only means they expect to deal with the dokai on a regular basis, but since wikai civilizations are often than not as far from the dokai as possible, they often no need to learn the langauge. They have instead, created their own tongue known as Mewjian Wild, which convays thoughts and expressions through drawn images that can be found in vacant caves, certain trees through wilderness and among other locations. Mewjian Wild is not so much a langauge, but a form of entertainment among the wikai, allowing to express their ideals and dreams more easily among their kinsmen. Though some of these "cave writings" depict epic battles with foricious beasts, many other are rather graphic images of the intimate kind.

Names

Wikai usually have a single name composed of a clan name and a given name wrapped into one. Though it is respectful for a wikai to be adressed by their full name, it's not uncommon for close friends and lovers to refer to one another by the given part of their name.

Racial Traits

Wikai have the same racial traits as dokai except as stated here.

  • +2 Strength, +2 Dexterity, −2 Constitution, −2 Intelligence, −2 Charisma: The wild nature of the Wikai's home has made them stronger, but also made them less educated and charismatic as than the dokai.
