Taresi Goblins

Personality

Goblins are a race of junk collectors who hoard any and all junk they deem "useful". Using this junk, they construct relatively good mechanics and constructs. Goblins are also exceptional merchants who share the market with halflings.

Physical Description

Goblins differ in two ways; male and female. Male goblins stand around 3' 6", have green skin, pointed ears, large noses, and have little to no hair. Female goblins stand around 5' 6", have green skin, pointed ears, and a full head of hair. Hair color is usually red or orange, though black is uncommon.

Relations

Goblins have always been good allies with the orcs on Taresi. They are also good friends with ogres, trolls, and dwarves. They are the technological rivals to gnomes, and they have an on/off relationship with halflings when it comes to trading.

Alignment

Goblins tend to be neutral good, because neutrality is always good for business.

Lands

Goblins live in Gob' Tel' Mae, the goblin homeland. It is close to the orc and ogre countries.

Religion

Goblins worship Temper, the goblin creator-goddess and queen of the fire elementals.

Language

Goblins know Common and Goblin, though they tend to learn every language on Taresi for better trade opportunities.

Names

Goblins have a personal name, like Gadget or Benni, and a family name, such as Junkheap or Jewelbags.

Racial Traits

  • +2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma, -2 Strength: Goblins are quick and convincing, but very weak.
  • Humanoid (Goblinoid)
  • Small: +1 bonus to Armor Class, +1 bonus on attack rolls, +4 bonus on Hide checks, –4 penalty on grapple checks, lifting and carrying limits 3/4 of those of Medium characters.
  • Goblin base land speed is 30 feet
  • Darkvision out to 60 feet.
  • +4 racial bonus on Move Silently and Ride checks.
  • Automatic Languages: Common and Goblin. Bonus Languages: Orcish, Ogrish, Troll, Dwarven, Gnomish, Halfspeak, Ignan.
  • Favored Class: Rogue, Smuggler, Alchemist, or Firestarter.
