You conjure an area of shadow filled with swarms of bats ready to devour any who enter. A burst of shadow engulfs a 20 foot radius around you as the darkness spell. Each square covered in darkness is also covered in a swarm of bats as if under the effects of the summon swarm spell. You are affected by the magical darkness, but the swarm does not attack you. The hungry shadows are stationary and if the bat swarm is destroyed the darkness vanishes.
