Executioner's Sword

Martial Melee Weapons
Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties
Executioner's Sword 50 gp 1d10 slashing 12 lb. Heavy, versatile (1d12), Dire, Special

A blade typically used for executions of the more noble of criminals. It can be used in battle despite its bulk, and if swung properly can prove to be a massively deadly tool.

Dire. Instead of adding proficiency bonus to attack rolls, you add it to damage rolls.

Special. Because of its bulky nautre, you can't make opportunity attacks with this weapon. In addition, this weapon's lack of a distal taper (Meaning the sword does not get thinner the closer it gets to the tip) makes it very top heavy, making its use very difficult while one-handed. Unless your Strength score is 17 or higher, you have disadvantage with all one-handed attack rolls made with this weapon.

However, this comes with the trade off of hitting extra hard. You deal one extra damage die when your attack is a critical hit.
