Aasling

Aaslings are the offspring of a Tiefling and an aasimar and thus have features of both their celestial and infernal backgrounds. Aaslings will have a mostly human appearane, but with a few distinct differences. Aaslings will often have a hint of red in their skin mixed with their aasimar parent's skin color. They also often have very small horns and a potential tail, though not all Aaslings have a tail. Their hair is normally a mix in color between their parents, and their eye-color will normally follow after one of their parents.

Mixed Bloodline

Aaslings are a mix between a tiefling and an aasimar, and as such, have a connection to both celestial and infernal bloodlines. This often gives them an appearance that looks like a mix between a tiefling and aasimar, with a human appearance and a few Tiefling characteristics such as slihgtly reddened skin, smaller horns, and potentially a tail. Being touched by both celestial and infernal planes through their heritage also grants them great affinities from both sides, though they would normally be considered a disgrace to either side of the spectrum.

There are almost no recordings of aaslings, as it is very rare for a tiefling and an aasimar to tolerate the other, let alone have a child together. As such, it is unclear of their true potential, whether they gain many of the strengths of both of their heritages or if they are simply dilated by the mix. Either way, they are sure to have at least some potential from the combination of celestial and infernal heritages.

Personality

Physical Description

Some aaslings have a stronger infernal biological inheritance than they do celestial. As such, they have a few more tiefling features than other aaslings. Their skin is more red, your horns are slightly larger, and they're very likely to have a tail.

Relations

As rare as they are, most people have no real opinions on aaslings as a whole. It normally depends on their views of aasimer and Tieflings separately. If they have strong mistrust of Tieflings, they will often be hesitant towards Aaslings as well. But with the celestial background mixed in as well, most people have a hard time knowning how to feel about Aaslings as a race and will often take into account their names and personality to see which side they take more from in order to form an opinion. But either way, their Tiefling background they have causes most people to have at least some level of hesitation and mistrust towards them instinctually.

Alignment

Their mixed heritage leaves them with little pull towards innate good or evil, and this is often related most to their upbringing. They are most often very neutral in their alignments.

Names

Aaslings are extremely rare, and thus have no common names they are often given. However, on the rare occasion one is born, it is often given a name from either its tiefling or aasimar background. The name is often chosen dependent on how the parents wish their offspring to be viewed as, whether it be as one from an infernal or celestial background. Other times, they are given a more generic name or a name that combines aspects of both cultures. Either way, aaslings often take their names to heart and attempt to embody what they are meant as.
