Clawed whip

Martial Melee Weapons
Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties
Clawed whip 100 gp 1d6 slashing 3 lb. Reach, Special

A long whip with a metal claw on the end. When you hit a creature with an attack with this weapon, you can use your bonus action to pull them 5 ft towards you. An unwilling creature makes a contested Strength check against you to resist the pull.

Special

You can use your action or one of your attacks as part of the attack action to snare an object within 10 feet and pull. If the object isn't secure or more than 1 size category smaller than you, it is pulled 5 feet towards you. If the object is secure or at least 1 size category larger than you, you are pulled 5 feet towards it. While attached to the object, it can't be moved more than 10 feet from you(or you from it), until you detach it(no action required). You cannot make attack rolls with this weapon while it is attached to an object.

Optional Rule

Your DM may allow you to make attack rolls while a Tiny object is attached to the whip. For example, let's say you try to jump and grapple a brick wall to attempt to escape bandits who are chasing you. You do so, but instead of grabbing a secure part of the wall you grasp a loose brick, pulling it from the wall. The bandits are suddenly upon you, with nothing to protect yourself, unless... The damage is 1d4 of an appropriate damage type(bludgeoning/slashing/piercing). In our whip with brick example, we would be dealing 1d4 bludgeoning damage. Dungeon Masters have the final say in the damage type.
