Way of the Brute (5e Subclass)
Way of the Brute
Monk Subclass
A monk subclass that focuses on using Strength to the fullest.
- Brute Strikes
At 3rd level, when you make unarmed strikes with Strength, you increase your damage die to the next damage die up (1d4→1d6→1d8→1d10→1d12).
- Unarmored Strength
Also at 3rd level, you can use Strength modifier instead of Dexterity modifier when calculating your monk's Unarmored Defense.
- Whirlwind Strike
Starting at 6th level, as a bonus action, you can expend one ki point to attack all creatures within reach of your unarmed strikes.
- Heavy Strike
Starting at 11th level, when you make an unarmed strike, you can expend a ki point to add an extra Martial Arts damage die. You can expend up to 5 ki points, with each ki point adding another damage die to the attack.
- All Out Blow
Starting at 17th level, as an action you can expend 5 ki points to force one creature to make a Strength saving throw versus your Ki save DC. On a failed save, they take 12d10 bludgeoning damage and knocked prone, and on a success, they take half as much.
