The most common horror to be born from the Crimson, the region surrounding the brain of Cthulhu's lair, a crimera is a mutated arthropod that seeks to consume pure things with unrelenting hunger. Crimera have many-segmented bodies with several sets of paddle-like legs that they use to maneuver, as well as a pair of deadly claws and three knife-like mouthparts designed to tear flesh. They begin as any number of minute organisms, such as ticks or lice, which parasitize the flesh of the Crimson and gradually swell and change into monstrous forms as they feed. |
