These creatures are the result of the unnatural fusion between a humanoid and an ambush bug. Although too large to hide themselves on the heads of flowers, bugnacious still retain the sit-and-wait tactics of their insect component. A bugnacious prefers to hunt by remaining just out of sight, lurking behind large boulders, vegetation, or even open doors and quickly driving its raptorial forelimbs into the prey's back, earning it the nickname "hidebehind" where feral populations are especially dense. Once incapacitated, it injects corrosive, paralyzing enzymes into its prey, and feeds by slurping up the resulting mixture.

Bugnacious are attracted to bright colors, especially those matching their own wildly varying patterns.
