Paladin Sacred Oath: Oath of the Lich-Servant
In the age of Vecna, Lich-Servants were common. They were the ones who turned to lichs to protect and guide them, in return for the paladin's fealty.
It is recommended that only Evil-aligned characters should use this oath, alongside the Oathbreaker paladin option from Dungeon Master's Guide.
- Tenets of Lich-Servant
The tenets of the Oath of Lich-Servant are determined by the Lich you serve.

- Channel Divinity
When you chose this Oath at 3rd level you gain access to the following Channel Divinity options:
- Soul Drain. You channel holy energy as a bonus action to imbue yourself with draining magic. For the next minute, whenever you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you regain HP equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of 1)You cannot benefit from this effect when slaying an undead.
- Undeath Surge. As a bonus action, you grant temporary HP to a number of friendly character's up to your Charisma modifier equal to 1d10 plus your paladin level.
- Lich-Servant
Starting at 3rd level, undead have disadvantage on attack rolls against you, and you have resistance to necrotic damage. You also have advantage on any saving throw that an undead forces you to make.
- Aura Of Undeath
Starting at 7th level, when a friendly creature within 10 feet of you drops to 0 hit point, it can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead, and gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of 1). A friendly creature must finish a long rest before they can benefit from this feature again.
At 17th level, the range of this aura becomes 30 feet.
- Undead Resistance
Starting at 15th level, you gain immunity to necrotic and poison damage, and resistance to acid damage. Also, you have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.
- Master Of Undeath
Starting at 20th level, as a bonus action, you can become a being of pure undeath for 1 minute. When you assume the undeath form, you gain temporary hit points equal to your paladin level plus your Charisma score. Additionally, while you are in the undeath form, you gain the following benefits:
- You have advantage on death saving throws.
- Whenever you reduce an enemy to 0 hit point, you can use a bonus action to make two melee weapon attacks against an enemy who is also within 5 feet of you.
- You have advantage on Constitution saving throws.
Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.
