Blue jays are songbirds of the passerine order of birds. They are beloved by explorers and travelers for their abundance and beauty. They are particularly known for their shiny blue feathers and noisy, talkative personality. Scientifically, they are related to crows and magpies, and as such blue jays are very intelligent creatures. The blue jay's strong black beak gives it the ability to eat hard-shelled nuts such as peanuts and acorns with ease. However, blue jays are omnivorous creatures, and as such their diet consists of a wide variety of foods. They tend to live on the border between civilization and nature and can be found in forests of varying temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere. |
