This subclass is subject to change in the future, probably in a couple months, will make it look nicer then...
Tall dwarf likes shadow blade... Tall dwarf likes a class that opens up broken multiclass builds.....

This class is balanced for single class play,if you're a DM and allow this class to be multiclassed be ready to tweak your encounters,if your players doesn't care about being outshined in combat and/or have broken builds themselves please let me know about your experiences.(+200 sustained dmg is possible compared to gwm/pam builds 90-110 ish sustained)(if included in to some gimmicky one shot build around 1k dmg is possible)(both examples are in tier 4) Flavour Text on spells are not included, names are enough for now use your imagination... Something something Raven Queen something something darkness something something vodoo something something shadows...yay you are shadow blade NAW.
- Spellcasting
When you reach 3rd level, you augment your martial prowess with the ability to cast spells.
Cantrips You learn three cantrips: Booming Blade and two other cantrips of your choice from the wizard spell list. You learn another wizard cantrip of your choice at 10th level.
Spell Slots The Shadow Blade Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.
For example, if you know the 1st-level spell Charm Person and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast Charm Person using either slot.
Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher You know three 1st-level wizard spells of your choice, two of which you must choose from the enchantment and illusion spells on the wizard spell list.
The Spells Known column of the Shadow Blade Spellcasting table shows when you learn more wizard spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be an enchantment or illusion spell of your choice, and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.
The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level can come from any school of magic. Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the wizard spells you know with another spell of your choice from the wizard spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be an enchantment or illusion spell, unless you're replacing the spell you gained at 3rd, 8th, 14th, or 20th level from any school of magic. Spellcasting Ability: Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your wizard spells, since you learn your spells through dedicated bullshitery and your magnificent beard. You use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a wizard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one. No your character doesn't have to have a beard..........
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier
Spell slot progression is same as arcane trickster just look at their table...Me Lazy
- At 3rd level when you choose this subclass your AC becomes 10+dex mod+cha mod while you're not holding a shield or wearing any armor
Really powerful at tier 1 and 2, normal at tier 3,probably less than your wizards at tier 4.If you roll for stats and get lucky it may look like overpowered but you can just throw a fireball or better powerword kill.....(dont try to kill a lich at level 3 please, thank you)
- At 3rd level you gain the ability to use Innate Shadow Blade(it does not consume any spell slots btw aaand non concentration for tier 4 bullshitery[if single class])
Innate Shadow Blade:
Casting time: 1 Bonus Action
Range: Self
Components: V, S
Duration: up to 1 minute
You weave together threads of shadow to create a sword of solidified gloom in your hand. This magic sword lasts until the spell ends. It counts as a simple melee weapon with which you are proficient. It deals 2d8 psychic damage on a hit and has the finesse, light, and thrown properties (range 20/60). In addition, when you use the sword to attack a target that is in dim light or darkness, you make the attack roll with advantage. If you drop the weapon or throw it, it dissipates at the end of the turn. Thereafter, while the spell persists, you can use a bonus action to cause the sword to reappear in your hand.
At higher level when you reach level 5, the damage increases to 3d8. When you reach level 9, the damage increases to 4d8. When you reach level 13, the damage increases to 5d8.( level here refers to your total level not class level.3 lvl dip to get all the juice)
Whole reason i made this stupid subclass.
- At 5th level, you gain the ability to use Look Behind You as a Bonus action
Look Behind You(must be said in Shaco voice): You don't really have to say it in shaco voice or say look behind you at all, find your flavour
Casting time: 1 Bonus Action
Range: 30 ft
Components: V, S
Duration: instantaneous
You teleport behind a creature that you can see in range. When used on a creature for the first time in a combat, you gain advantage on attack rolls against that creature till your next turn.Range becomes 90 ft at level 13.
- At 9th level,You gain some bullshit ability to see 30 ft in any darkness magical or not as if it was sunlight.Aaaand you can cast darkness spell once per short rest without using spell slots because why not...
- At 13th level , you can weave a veil of shadows to mask yourself. As an action, you can magically become invisible, along with anything you are wearing or carrying, for 10 minutes or until you dismiss this effect (no action required). This invisibility ends if you deal damage to a creature or if you force a creature to make a saving throw.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a short rest.(not really that usefull but at 17th level you'll get an save or die feature so meeh.)
Stole this from new soul knife(UA) couldn't think of anythink that isn't overpowered (can change if you have a better idea just let me know)
- At 17th level. You gain the ability to use Death By Thousand Needles once per long rest.
Death By Thousand Needles:
Casting time: 1 Action
Range: 60 ft
Components: S
Duration: instantaneous
You point to a creature that you can see in range, the targeted creature must make a dexterity saving throw against your spell DC.On a failed save target takes 1000d4 points of damage as psychic. On a success nothing happens and you are sad...
(I don't think this ability is overpowered in most situations at tier 4.Can be combined with other party members to annihilate a creature tho...)
Death By Thousand Needles(Variant):If you think the normal version is too powerful for your game change to this
Casting time: 1 Action
Range: 60 ft
Components: S
Duration: instantaneous
You point to a creature that you can see in range, the targeted creature must make a dexterity saving throw against your spell DC.On a failed save target is reduced to 0 hit poits. On a success nothing happens and you are sad...
