Lucent Singularity

School evocation [light]; Level cleric 5, sorcerer/wizard 5

Casting Time 1 standard action

Components V, S, M/DF (a sunflower seed)

Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)

Area 20-ft.-radius spread

Duration 1 round/level (D)

Saving Throw Reflex negates or partial (see text); Spell Resistance yes

You conjure a tiny singularity that bends light and matter alike around itself. Creatures within the area must succeed at a Reflex saving throw or become blinded for 2d4 rounds. Additionally, time itself seems to alter its passage around the singularity; creatures who fail their initial Reflex saving throw are slowed for as long as they remain within the area, as per slow. Any creature that enters the area or ends its turn within the area must immediately make the saving throw or become blinded and slowed.

You may dismiss the spell as a standard action. If you do, the singularity explodes in a burst of compressed light, causing each creature within the area to take 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 15d6). A successful Reflex save halves this damage.
