Mace Armadillo (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Mace Armadillo
A barbarian is getting ready to swing his mace. The enemy jumps out of the way, but a spiny, armadillo-like creature, that looks like a mace ball, comes flying towards the enemy, and that was the last thing the enemy saw.
Physical Description
Mace Armadillos are giant armadillos that have a mace-like surface on their back. They can roll up into a ball and pretend to be a mace. Or they can roll up into a ball and launch toward an enemy.
History
People say that one day a mad witch was brewing something odd up, and she accidentally made the first Mace Armadillo by (obviously) mixing up a live armadillo and a rusty mace (and maybe some other things). No one knows how others were made since it was only 1 Mace Armadillo and they couldn't breed. So, no one truly knows where they came from.
Society
Mace Armadillos have a pretty diverse society. From small villages to entire kingdoms, Mace Armadillos don't really have one single type of society.
