- Binding Edict
Starting at 1st level your patron has gifted you with the authority to create magical binding contracts.
Creating a contract takes at least 1 minute, and it must be scrawled onto a suitable material (such as paper or a stone tablet). A contract cannot be altered or changed after it is written, and it cannot be destroyed by a spell of 8th level or lower. A contract may also end by all participants signing the contract again under their own volition to end the contract. You may have a maximum number of signatures active at once equal to your Warlock level.
A contract must be simple enough for you (and the DM) to fully comprehend. Next, one or more creatures are designated as participants when they purposefully mark a signature on the contract under their own volition. Participants who sign a contract are effected regardless of their understanding of the content or consequences of the contract. In the contract, describe one or more courses of activity for each participant, and whether each activity is to be avoided or followed. You cannot be the only participant in your contract.
When you create a contract, you must cast one or more spells of first level or higher to be stored within it. The spell has no effect, other than being stored in the contract. For each level of spell stored in the contract, you must provide 25 gp worth of valuable materials such as silver or gems, which is consumed in the process.
Next, for each participant list one or more stored spells that are associated with breaking the contract. If a participant breaks the contract, any remaining stored spells they are associated with are immediately cast on them and expended from the contract. Once all spells are expended, the contract ends and crumbles into dust.
If a spell requires an attack roll, it automatically hits. If a spell requires a saving throw, the participant is treated as willing and so automatically fails their first saving throw against the spell. If a spell targets multiple creatures, it targets the participant and any creatures closest to them within range. If a spell affects an area, the area is centered on the participant. If a spell summons or creates objects or creatures, or creates harmful effects, it appears as close as possible to the participant, who is then targeted by the effect for the duration. If the spell requires concentration, it lasts until the end of its full duration.
- Cosmic Ordinance
No one can hide from cosmic law. Starting at 6th level your spells ignore immunity to the charmed and frightened conditions.
- Conscript Warden
Your patron has many bound creatures to do their bidding, and as a result you have greater options when calling for aid. Starting at 10th level, when you cast a spell that summons or changes a creature that has a specific limit on the maximum challenge rating (such as Summon Lesser Demons, Infernal Calling, or Polymorph), the targets have disadvantage on saving throws and ability checks made against your spells. In addition, you may chose for the maximum challenge rating allowed by the spell to be increased by a number equal to half your proficiency bonus. You must complete a short or long rest to increase a challenge rating using this feature again.
- Soul Bound
Starting at 14th level your contracts can bind not just bodies, but souls as well. Immediately upon the death of a participant from your Binding Edict, they are targeted by the Soul Cage spell if they have ever broken the contract. The material component for the spell is the contract they where a participant of, and the duration becomes until dispelled. The contract may hold the soul of all participants, not just one.
