History
Where exactly the Chao come from, nobody really knows for sure. All that is known is their relation to the Fey.
Society
Chao live in large groups in various environments. They act somewhat similar to children, as their mannerisms have been described as pleasant and relaxing. They love to compete in activities known as Chao Racing and Chao Karate, which are fairly self-descriptive. Commonly, they are extremely friendly towards other races, becoming attached to individuals. As such, they can become loyal companions who will go to extreme lengths in order to protect their loved ones.

As Chao have no gender, they can be named practically anything they want. Most who befriend one of another race are given cute nicknames, such as Cheese, Chocola, Betty, etc. Just go crazy!
