Boon of Heavy Cavalry[edit]

Covered in glistening armor and atop a majestic steed, you're the epitome of mounted combat.

  • Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage you take from weapon attacks is reduced by one-half of your Armor Class (rounded down), as you are able to absorb and deflect blows with your shield and armor. This damage reduction does not apply if you are Surprised or while you are Incapacitated.
  • While mounted, you can force an attack targeted at your mount to target you instead.
  • While mounted, you can add your shield’s AC bonus to any Dexterity saving throws your mount makes.
  • Mounting or dismounting your steed only costs you 5 feet of movement.

You must have attained either Heavy Armor Mastery or Shield Mastery before you can gain the Boon of the Heavy Cavalry. You must have a shield or heavy armor donned for the damage reduction to apply.
