Quickened spells are considered Swift actions, not Free Actions (that was changed when 3.5 replaced 3.0)


There's a typo in "as a free action" near the end of the page, the word is repeated —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2800:a4:2529:4400:d026:d300:7ac2:e6e0 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts.

You are mistaken and that is not a typo. Saying "You can cast a quickened spell (see the Quicken Spell feat) or any spell whose casting time is designated as a free action as a free action" makes grammatical sense in this particular instance. Divide that sentence up in your head and read it as "[any spell whose casting time is designated as a free action] as a free action" if you're still confused. The world needs bullies.
