Mirror Shield, Variant (5e Equipment)

Armor (shield), legendary (requires attunement) This shield shines with an otherworldy, mirror-like sheen. It must be created using a precious metal, a very strong metal or stone, or a rare mineral, such as gold, obsidian, or diamond. While attuned with the item, an icon of your choice can appear on the face of the shield. While attuned to the shield, you can deflect certain types of effects. Whenever you are targeted by a spell attack or a line effect, you can use your reaction to reflect it to another target within range or bend the area of effect, respectively. You can also choose to use your reaction to deflect any number of missiles created by the Magic Missile spell that currently target you to a single other target within the spell's range. While attuned to the shield, if a creature misses you with a melee attack that deals damage then you can use your reaction to reflect some of the damage it would have dealt to you back to it. It takes the minimum damage the attack could have dealt. Even when not attuned to the shield, anyone that bears it adds an additional +2 to his or her AC.
