A happy audino. Source

Audino are bipedal, pudgy creatures with the top of its head, its back and arms being pink colored while the lower half of its face, body and ears being cream colored, as well as its front and fingers. It has three digits on each hand and two digits on its feet. A puffy white tail adorns its backside. On its head are two large, floppy, rabbit-like ears with two retractable feelers on their underside and on its face are two blue, oval eyes.

Some audino have been known to have purple skin instead of pink.

History

Audino were first discovered in Unova, and can be found everywhere in the forests, grasslands and mountains of the region. They can also be found on the tropical island of Hoenn and the region of Kalos, but aren't nearly as common as they are in Unova. These natural healers would often approach sick and injured individuals who found themselves in their territory and nurse them back to health with their magic, using the feelers that extend from their ears to listen to the injured person's heartbeat and detect other potential illnesses. They can even use their feelers to tell how long it would be until an egg would hatch. It was previously believed that these creatures were fey, but, while there may be some level of fey influence in them, testing with poisons revealed that they are not as susceptible to them as fairy type pokemon, which was one of many tests that helped lead to the conclusion that they are not fey.

Society

Audino do not usually form societies with each other, as they usually strike out into the world to aid all those they can in terms of healing and guiding those lost in their territory as soon as they reach maturity. While audino get along with most any other race, there was a time when they were hunted, mostly by wizards and alchemists, because it was believed that their ears and feelers could be used in potions to remedies to previously incurable diseases, especially given the belief that they were of the fey. However, after the aforementioned tests, people ceased hunting them and now audino can be found peacefully living in human civilization, often putting their healing abilities to use as nurses.

Audino Names

Being rather cute and cuddly, some believe that male audino do not exist. However, you're just as likely to find a male as you are a female. That said, male audino usually take Sylvan names while female audinos usually take Common names.
