Shockwave Strike | Mantis Shrimp move their arms with absurd speed. Crushers, in addition to dealing double strength with each strike, create tiny air bubbles when underwater, which then explode. This shockwave acts as a second attack, dealing 2d6 damage to all within 10 feet and forcing a DC 19 Fortitude save to avoid being stunned for one round. The area is based on size, and the save is (10+half HD+Str). |
Hexnocular Vision | Mantis Shrimp have three pupils on each of their two eye stalks, allowing pinpoint precision. This gives them a +4 bonus to attack, and negates cover and concealment (but not total cover or concealment). |
Most Mantis Shrimp dwell alone, hunting whatever comes their way with powerful strikes. They tend to leap out from under cover, viciously assaulting potential prey. They usually live underwater, hiding in holes and ambushing prey. However, some like to keep them as fierce pets or guards.
