This translucent, unstable creature is shaped vaguely like a large humanoid. It wobbles towards you, with heavy, glistening arms outstretched.
What happened to you, ogre jelly? Did a wizard transmogrify you? Did you eat too many ochre jelly puddings? This bulky, quivering humanoid stumbles around hills and caves, sometimes shlurping up walls and cliffs to hide and digest prey. As well as absorbing small prey, it will attack larger creatures. Adventurers might be fooled by its humanoid appearance and try to negotiate with it, only to find it has the intellect of an insect.
Organization: Solitary
Environment: Land or underground.
This applies the Gelatinous template from Savage Species to the Ogre. It was originally a suggestion for a special monster from the old red-cover D&D® Basic dungeon master's guide.
