Death Knight[edit]

I have experienced death! I have returned to make sure you know what it's like.

Prerequisite: Level 11 Paladin

As part of your role playing experience, it is recommended that you die in some way and are brought back from death with new un-life as a death knight. you can add this into your story without penalty. Some ideas include a ritual sacrifice releasing your soul to the Shadow Fell where you must be approved by the Raven Queen. Another method might be to find a magical relic of intense power devoted to Orcus that calls you to give up your mortal flesh for immortal flesh through a process of dedication (see artifacts in the DM's Guide). Maybe you have found a dark sovereign such as a Lich who is willing to perform the trans-formative spell for a service or allegiance.

Your are now devoted to death, especially of those that stand in your way. You have lost your trust in flesh, because you now know the power of death. You no longer feel the hollow pit where your life once was instead your veins contain ice and dark power. You are no longer a mortal but something more powerful.
