Nock Gun

Martial Ranged Weapons
Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties
Nock Gun 750 gp 3d10 piercing 13 lb. Ammunition (range 100/400), heavy, loading special, two-handed

A tremendous seven-barreled beast of a rifle, a Nock gun is adapted for ship-to-ship fighting, ripping tightly packed groups of enemy sailors to shreds with terrifying effectiveness. When its trigger is pulled and the gun's charge is ignited, all seven barrels discharge simultaneously, firing a volley off seven shots in one go. The staggering recoil generated by the gun's discharge knocks all but the strongest men off their feet and commonly results in broken shoulders.

Special. It takes a full minute to reload a Nock gun, which expends seven bullets in a single attack. When you attack with a Nock gun, instead of choosing a creature you must choose a point within range, applying the results of your attack roll to all creatures within 5 feet of that point. When you fire a Nock gun, the resulting spray of sparks ignites all highly flammable items (e.g. cloth, gunpowder, etc.) within 5 feet of you that aren't being worn or carried. If you are a Medium or smaller creature, you must make a DC 18 Strength saving throw after firing a Nock gun or take 1d10 bludgeoning damage and fall prone.
