Keen Smell. The gorgonopsid has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Pounce. If the gorgonopsid moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the gorgonopsid can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.

Rampage. When the gorgonopsid reduces a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack on its turn, the gorgonopsid can take a bonus action to move up to half its speed and make a bite attack.

Reckless. At the start of its turn, the gorgonopsid can gain advantage on all melee weapon attack rolls it makes during that turn, but attack rolls against it have advantage until the start of its next turn.

Relentless (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). If the gorgonopsid takes 10 damage or less that would reduce it to 0 hit points, it is reduced to 1 hit point instead.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The gorgonopsid makes three bite attacks or three claw attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: X (1d10 + 5) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) slashing damage. Instead of dealing damage, the gorgonopsid can grapple the target (escape DC 15).

A gorgonopsid is a classification of creatures that are descended from the same ancestors as mammals. These active predators are built muscularly with large canine teeth and a decent size, rivaling large bears. These predators lunge upon their prey from hiding spots, grapple them with their forelimbs, and rip into their vulnerable areas with their massive fangs.
