Beware of Gladiators double-wielding Light weapons - such as Handaxes, Shortswords and Scimitars. Such weapon would be Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage. Or piercing in case of Shortswords.
However, if you double-wield Light melee weapons, you can do another attack with Light melee weapon for free - meaning, Gladiator with this loadout actually would have six/6 strikes per turn. What would mean increase from 33 average damage to 66 average damage - meaning, he's now a scary infantry mower, and can do serious harm to PC's of his CL. Also, that looks very flashy - so, that's indeed what Gladiator should logically wield. 95.71.119.203 15:00, 22 October 2024 (MDT)
