Way of the Ancient Training[edit]

Monk Subclass

Monks who follow the ancient training tradition focus on honing the core and traditional aspects of the monastic martial arts. Instead of branching out, expanding the control over the ki to create new techniques, these monks perfect the basics of their style, achieving the martial perfection trough simplicity.

Advanced Martial Arts

Starting at 3rd level, you improve your basic martial art technique. Your martial arts die becomes a d6. It increases to a d8 at 5th level, a d10 at 11th level and a d12 at 17th level.

Ki Technique Versatility

Also at 3rd level, you develop further what you are able to accomplish with the basic ki features learned by every monk. When you use one of the following ki features: flurry of blows, step of the wind or patient defense, you can use another of these features as part of the same bonus action.

Stunning Mastery

When you reach the 6th level, once per turn when you hit a creature with one of your attacks granted by your flurry of blows, you can attempt to stun the target without spending additional ki.

Advanced Ki Versatility

At 11th level, you reach the peak of control over your ki features. When you use your Ki Technique Versatility to use two ki features as part of the same bonus action, you spend only 1 ki point.

Ki Mastery

When you reach the 17th level in this class, once per turn you can reduce the cost of one of your ki features by 1 ki (to a minimum of 0).
