Void Dweller[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

The Void Dweller's Anatomy By Paranormal Investigator, Hunter McCrow

Void Dwellers are ink blots with stubby little legs, pie-cut eyes and a bean-esque stature.

History[edit]

The first void dweller was named Baggy. It's unknown to anyone but the Voidhands how he got there. But, slowly through the sheer power of boredom and curiosity, Baggy molded a house in an effort to entertain himself. Then, more void dwellers arrived, giving Baggy a reason to sculpt more houses. This extremely small town slowly grew into two Islands known as the Unnamed Lands.

Society[edit]

Void Dwellers usually uphold the views they had in life. They mainly live in one, ever-expanding city (gaining a house for every inhabitant) and have one garment (being their favorite in life). They have no ruler, but they have a pantheon of gods known as the Voidhands.

Void Dweller Names[edit]

Void Dweller names are usually notable things about the void dweller themself. Depending on timeframe, names could be military, class titles, usernames, personality traits or just words they used a lot before they got stuck in the void.

Examples: No, Baggy, Fennec, Quiet, Exorcise, Zamnenamnena, Bestie, Dob-Dob

Void Dweller Traits[edit]

Ability Score Increase. Increase one ability score by 2, and increase a different one by 1, or increase three different scores by 1.
Age. Void Dwellers do not age, they stay at the mental age they died at and "live" forever.
Alignment. Much like humans, It’s hard to make generalizations about Void Dwellers.
Size. Being dead creatures, void dwellers' height varies from tiny to gargantuan, but they're usually small or medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Amorphous. You can squeeze through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide, provided you are wearing and carrying nothing. You also have advantage on ability checks you make to initiate or escape a grapple.
Undead Attributes. You have no need of air.
Natural Resilience. You have resistance to acid and poison damage, and you have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.
Shape Self. If you are not incapacitated, you can reshape your body to give yourself a head, one or two arms, one or two legs, and makeshift hands and feet, or you can revert to a limbless blob (no action required). As a bonus action, you can extrude a pseudopod that is up to 6 inches wide and 10 feet long or reabsorb it into your body. You can use this pseudopod to manipulate an object, open an unlocked door or container, stow or retrieve an item from an open container, or pour out the contents of a container. The pseudopod can’t attack, activate magic items, or carry more than 10 pounds.
Immortality. Due to already being dead, Void Dwellers don't die when their hitpoints drop to zero, they are just incapacitated until they have a long rest.
Void madness. Your long term exposure to the void has driven you mad, roll a percentile die and that is one of your flaws.
