Ferocious warriors of the wild, tigerfolk are at home in the jungles and forests of the world. Valuing their personal freedom above all things, tigerfolk are loath to follow others and are passionate in their pursuits. Though prone to strong emotions, tigerfolk are tough and rugged, and forest life suits them perfectly.

Play a tiger-man if you want...

  • To be tough and fast
  • To be at home in the jungle
  • To be a member of a race that favours the assassin, fighter, ranger, or rogue classes.

Physical Qualities[edit]

Tigerfolk are tiger/human hybrids. They are the tallest of the anifolk, with some standing over 7 feet tall, and they are lithe for their height, weighing around 230 to 240 pounds. Both strong and quick, tigerfolk are visibly muscular. They have tiger-shaped heads and short hair that grows black and orange. They are covered in extensive but thin black and orange body hair, and they have small claws for fingernails and toenails.

Tigerfolk live as long as humans, but retain their strength even at the end of life.

Playing a Tigerfolk[edit]

Tigerfolk crave freedom above all things. Their strong, athletic bodies are not suited to confined areas, and they hate being in such places. They prefer large, open areas, full of space for them to move about freely. Deserts hold some appeal, but the lack of life does not work for them. Jungles and forests are the most likely homes for tigerfolk, with treetop houses being their favored form of residence.

Due to their places of residence, tigerfolk often form friendships with the elves and sometimes the eldarin. Their love of nature goes largely hand in hand. As for the other anifolk, they harbor a strong dislike for the serpent-man, but they enjoy the company of a rabbit-man.

Tigerfolk Adventurers[edit]

Three sample tiger-man adventurers are described below.

Tooth is a tiger-man fighter, a warrior of pure strength and quickness who takes delight in the intricacies of martial combat. A master of spears, Tooth constantly tests his skills in every setting possible, such as tournaments, festivals, and athletic competitions. A perfectionist, Tooth plans on applying his incredible skill in true combat, hoping to carve a place in history.

Stripe is a tiger-man ranger, a master of twin longswords and a deadly warrior of the jungle. A loner by nature, Stripe does not care much for humanity due to the treatment he suffered at their hands when he was a child. Nevertheless, his admirable skills have reached the ears of other adventurers, wishing to tap his services. A life of adventure may give Stripe the pure freedom he long desires, so he waits and prepares for the day when he is called.

Nalah is a tiger-woman rogue, a nimble and strong warrior with a penchant for calculated lethality. Hateful of the people who kicked her and spat on her when she was a child, but nonetheless wishing to become better, she was taken in a thief named Felton. Trained in stealth and subtlety, Nalah has learned how to kill with deadly precision, but also to respect the lives of even the most bigoted folk. With Felton’s training still in her heart, Nalah prepares to depart for a new life.
