Shieldbearer

Fighter

Martial Shield

Your training has enabled you to efficiently use your shield. You can make the following moves using your shield:

Shove - you use your shield to shove all enemies directly in front of you to the side, dealing 1d6 bludgeoning damage.Enemies that hit hard terrain take an additional 1d4 damage. If an enemy is 2 sizes or more larger than you, they don't get shoved aside.

Bash - you bash an enemy, dealing 1d8 bludgeoning damage. Additionally the target must perform a constitution saving throw, failing the throw results in a disadvantage on the target's next attack. DC = 4 + proficiency bonus + strength modifier.

Shields Up - You raise your shield overhead. Projectiles flying towards the direction of the shield deal reduced damage if they hit.If you make another action other than moving, your shield is lowered and you must raise it again.

Shield Adept

When wearing a shield,you gain +2 bonus AC at 3rd level.This increases to +3 at 7th level, +4 at 10th level, +5 at 15th level, +6 at 18th level and +8 at 20th level.

Strict Regime

Everyday training has accustomed your body to a shields weight and form.Donning/Doffing your shield does not take up an action.

Martial Poise

At 10th level you learn two stances that help you in battle. Defensive Stance and Charging Stance.

Defensive Stance - you assume a defensive stance, bracing yourself for incoming attacks.Attacks towards allies behind the shield are blocked by the shield and all attacks towards the shield deal half the damage. For each attack that hits, you must roll a constitution saving throw. DC= 20 - proficiency bonus - constitution modifier. If you fail, the stance breaks and you take full damage for that hit.

Charging Stance - you assume a charging stance, raising your shield in front of you.You gain an additional 10 ft. on any form of movement you make next. You may charge at an enemy, building momentum, to deal 1d8 bludgeoning damage per 10 ft. of movement done in a straight line. The damage increases to 1d10 after 30 ft. of movement.Taking damage during the stance breaks it.

End of the Line

At 18th level you master the defensive stance, transforming it into an impenetrable line of defense.Attacks towards allies behind the shield are blocked by the shield and all attacks towards the shield are at a disadvantage and deal a quarter of the damage. For each attack that hits, you must roll a constitution saving throw. DC= 16 - proficiency bonus - constitution modifier. If you fail, the stance breaks and you take half the damage for that hit.

Unstoppable Onslaught

At 18th level you master the charging stance, transforming it into a formidable offence. You gain an additional 20 ft. on any form of movement you make next. You may charge at an enemy, building momentum, to deal 1d8 bludgeoning damage per 5 ft. of movement done in a straight line. The damage increases to 1d10 after 30 ft. of movement. You may turn one time without losing momentum. Taking damage during the stance breaks it.
