Mimicry. The death-rattle can mimic any sounds it has heard, including voices. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations with a successful DC 10 Wisdom (Insight) check.

ACTIONS

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage.

Constrict. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 15). Until this grapple ends, the creature is restrained, and the death-rattle cannot constrict another target.

The death-rattle is a 15 meter long, black rattlesnake that stalks the deserts and volcano bases at night. The death-rattle is quad-optic, and thus has four eyes in its head, each independently controlled. The rattle of the death-rattle can mimic any noise that it has heard, such as voices, machines, other beasts, and weather. The death-rattle constricts its victims, followed by eating them whole.
