Charge. If the jednong moves at least 30 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a clawing leap attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) piercing damage.

Hopping Gait. The hunting jednong's movement is not impaired by bad footing or difficult terrain.

Sense Magic. The hunting jednong senses magic within 120 feet of it at will. This trait otherwise works like the detect magic spell but isn't itself magical.

ACTIONS

Clawing Leap. The jednong attempts to kick its prey to the ground. If it ends its movement in a space occupied by another creature, must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone and take 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage. Further, it is held prone under the weight of the creature until it can make a successful DC16 Strength saving throw to dislodge the jednong.
On a successful save, the creature takes only half the damage, isn't knocked prone, and is pushed 5 feet out of the jednong's space into an unoccupied space of the creature's choice. If no unoccupied space is with in range, the victim instead falls prone in the jednong's space.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one prone creature. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage. It may bite as a bonus action after it has successfully knocked its prey prone.

Another abomination summoned from The Dark using insidious magic.
As large and heavy as a mule, The hunting jednong sports a segmented main body, like a lobster lacking head, claws and legs. Instead of a tail, its body tapers to a single, powerful, multi-jointed leg which in turn ends in an eleven-toed foot, each digit equipped with a long, curved talon. It's immense maw runs laterally along the entire underside of its body with two double rows of inward-curving teeth. the Jednong moves with a swift, efficient, hopping stride.
Voracious hunters, jednong will kill for sport as well as food. In which case it will tear the corpse to pieces before abandoning it to search for other prey. Rarely, these creatures can be found hunting in packs.
Employed as powerful hunting animals by the priests of Dark Powers.
