Vahlagor[edit]

Personality[edit]

The Vahlagor are almost hollow, emotionally to all races other than themselves but between themselves they are caring, guided beings who look after their own kind. In was they have no sympathy for those who face them and slaughter all without second thought but do not irrationally kill. The Vahlagor specifically focus on everything they do having an intention and purpose which is why they believe magic is essential for their race to survive and why barbarianism is outlawed due to its irrational nature.

Physical Description[edit]

The Vahlagor are large, muscley humanoid creatures. One of their most notable features apart from their skin and wings is their coal-black face-plate, the Grohl, an ornate stone plate which covers their face like a helmet. It is crafted and built upon throughout the life of a Vahlagor and is a symbol of their strength, pride, honor and intellect. From creation a Vahlagor does not have a Grohl, it is only first hardened from when they reach adolescence and pass their initiation (that being the hardening of the Grohl). Once established a Vahlagor builds on his/her Grohl to encase their head in a stone helmet construct with ornate horns, spines and the like, depending on the individual. The Vahlagor's skin is magma red which looks a though it is boiling and molding even whilst the being lives. The highest form of punishment for a Vahlagor for betraying their own kind is the forced removal of his/her Grohl before being exiled from the citadel. Vahlagor also posses a plate like scaling of stone which covers their "skin" only allowing for the glow to appear through spaces in their plate like armour. Vahlagor stand much taller than most when upright, standing at about 9ft, but their weight and posture cause them slouch forward slightly. Vahlagor usually weigh around 300-400lb which is caused by their construct of fire and magma. They posses, thick, torn, Demonic-like wings, which protrude 8.5ft from their back when fully stretched are the same appearance/composition as their body. The wings have small, sharp spines which appear where structural "bone" exits the wing although these are scarcely used for combat. Vahlagor leave behind a trail of darkness as if their body was smoldering.

Relations[edit]

Vahlagor hold themselves apart and above other beings and consider themselves to be advanced in every aspect, strength, intellect etc. to their worldly counterparts except in the art of deception and trickery which is looked down upon by the Vahlagor. The Vahlagor are generally a feared race by those who know them well enough to understand their power, for those who don't, their appearance is frightening enough to deter most and therefor are not too trusted by the vast majority of races. They are loyal and honest creatures and do not sway from a path too easily once they set their mind to it however if they become acquaintances with others.

Alignment[edit]

Vahlagor are always lawful beings. They follow a code of honor whether it be for evil, neutral or good.

Lands[edit]

Religion[edit]

Vahlagor do not follow deities. They abide by their nations laws and codes which to them are essentially their religion.

Language[edit]

Vahlagor do not speak in the common language therefor must chose it as an optional language. Their natural tongue is Ignan.

Names[edit]

Traditionally Vahlagor do not identify themselves by names, rather by the engravings on their stone armour and their face-plate. Some Vahlagor develop a primitive name in the common tongue which is derived from the markings and form of their armour and helm respectively.
