More information...

This beige-and-black striped beast has a thick, powerful body with strong flippers in place of legs and a crocodilian snout full of impressive, pointed teeth.

Liopleurodons are aquatic super-predators, though they breathe only air. A liopleurodon is roughly 63 feet long, with a head 1/7 the length of it's total body.

Combat

Liopleurodons attack any moving creature they encounter, biting down with its powerful jaws in an attempt to swallow its prey.

Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, a Liopleurodon must hit an opponent up to one size smaller with its bite attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. If it wins the grapple check, it establishes a hold and can attempt to swallow an opponent in the following round.

Swallow Whole (Ex): A Liopleurodon can attempt to swallow an opponent up to two sizes smaller by making a successful grapple check.

The swallowed creature takes 3d8+10 points of bludgeoning damage and 9 points of acid damage per round from the Liopleurodon's gizzard. A swallowed creature can cut its way out by using a light slashing or piercing weapon to deal 25 points of damage to the gizzard (AC 13). Once the creature exits, muscular action closes the hole; another swallowed opponent must cut its own way out.

A gargantuan Liopleurodon's gizzard can hold 2 large, 8 medium, 32 small, or 128 tiny or smaller opponents.

Keen Scent (Ex): A Liopleurodon can detect opponents in a 180-foot radius by scent and can detect blood in the water up to a mile away.

Skills: A Liopleurodon has a +2 racial bonus on Hide checks in water and spot checks.
