More information...

This medium-sized humanoid has pointed ears, a slender body, and bright eyes. Its skin is reddish-orange, and its hair is red trimmed with yellow.

Fire elves are elves that inhabit the elemental plane of fire. They behave much like their elvish cousins found on the material plane. A fire-elf stands, on average, 5 feet & weigh 100 pounds. Skin color of fire elves ranges from bright yellow all the way to dark red; hair usually comes in shades of red, orange, & yellow.

Combat

Fire elves tend to rely on their spell-like abilities & ranged attacks in combat, staying at a distance and shooting from cover. If forced into melee, fire elves often use weapons that have been finessed.

Heat (Ex): A fire elf's body is intensely hot, so its unarmed attacks deal 1 extra point of fire damage per HD. Its metallic weapons also conduct this heat.

Aura of Heat: All creatures within 5' of the Fire elf at the end of the round take 1 point of Non-lethal damage per HD due to heat exhaustion; this can be surpressed at will.

Spell-like Abilities: At Will-Heat Metal, 3/day-burning hands, Fire breath (6D8, 30 foot cone, DC (10+Cha Modifier) reflex save for half); 1/day. Caster level equals the creature’s HD, and the save DC is Charisma-based. Caster level equals the fire elf’s HD, and the save DC is Charisma-based.

The fire elf warrior presented here had the following ability scores before racial adjustments: Str 13, Dex 11, Con 12, Int 10, Wis 9, Cha 8.

Creating a Fire Creature

“Fire” is an inherited or acquired template that can be applied to any creature (referred to hereafter as the base creature).

A fire creature uses all the base creature’s statistics and abilities except as noted here. Do not recalculate the creature’s Hit Dice, base attack bonus, saves, or skill points if its type changes.

Size and Type

Animals or vermin with this template become magical beasts, but otherwise the creature type is unchanged. Size is unchanged. Fire creatures gain the fire subtype. Fire creatures encountered outside the elemental plane of fire also have the extraplanar subtype.

Special Attacks

A fire creature retains all of the special attacks the base creature had plus also has the following special attack:
