A Two-Headed Giraffe

The Giraffa polycephalic camelopardalis, or Two-headed Giraffe as they are known, is a gentile and peaceful animal when found alone. The creature is an herbivore of massive size and requires a sizable diet, in herds they have been known to wipe out local flora when a herd moves into new territory.

Larger than the common giraffe the two-headed giraffe's necks can reach up to 25 feet tall, its larger body requires a massive diet and affords the creature a thicker hide, stronger physique and more powerful hooves.

The two-headed giraffe remains calm until either its ability to freely graze or its offspring are threatened. When this happens the two-headed giraffe fights with an untapped ferocity, many monstrous races that share a habitat with these creatures will seek them out to both cull the herd and use them as beasts of burden and in some cases war-mounts.

Giraffa polycephalic camelopardalis care for their offspring but have a limited sense of that responsibility. At some point before a two-headed giraffe is an adult it is abandoned by its parents and it seems that this abandonment can be caused by external forces such as a parent being captured or chased away, should a Giraffa polycephalic camelopardalis be separated from its children for more than a few days both the child and parent forget the relationship.

Combat

Wild Giraffa polycephalic camelopardalis desire only to eat and protect their offspring. When being hunted the two-headed giraffe often flees to greener pastures and have been known to leave their offspring behind if harried too far away from where they were grazing. However when caught with their children they become vicious, snapping and trampling any creature smaller than itself, which can include their offspring.

Knock Back (Ex): A creature hit by either of a Giraffa polycephalic camelopardalis's head butt attack must succeed a Fortitude save (DC: 29) or be knocked back 10 feet. If the target can't be knocked back 10 feet it instead falls to the ground. If struck by both heads the target must make a second Fortitude save (DC: 29) or be stunned for 1 round.

Trample (Ex): As a standard action, a Giraffa polycephalic camelopardalis can trample opponents at least one size category smaller than itself. This attack deals 2d8+16 points of bludgeoning damage. A trampled opponent can attempt either an attack of opportunity at a -4 penalty or a Reflex save for half damage.

Scent (Ex): A Giraffa polycephalic camelopardalis can smell approaching creatures, sniff out hidden targets and track by smell.
