Lighting Destruction[edit]

Does the damage for lightning strike anyone else as being rather low? Considering, for instance, that a tree has 150-600 hit points, and lightning is not exactly unknown to destroy trees. Perhaps lightning should do different damage to objects. Please share your opinions. Sir Dinadan, 9:13, March 29th, 2013

Trees explode when the lightning superheats the sap into steam, so the DM could introduce a multiplier for particularly sappy trees like oaks and pines. Lightning more often causes no damage or just leaves a scar on a tree. It should probably just be left to dramatic license. Marasmusine (talk) 01:26, 30 March 2013 (MDT)

That sounds like a good idea. Let DM discretion rule! Sir Dinadan (talk), 8:15, March 30th, 2013.
