Ullagons are bizarre constructs whose lithe yet powerful bodies are made from gleaming blue-green metal crisscrossed with veins of white light. This unearthly metal conducts psionic energy, causing its already deadly strikes to cause intense mental pain as their targets' thoughts are drained out of them, which the ullagon can view at any time. Otherworldly Origins. While the exact origins of ullagons are unknown, it is speculated that whatever entity manufactures them resides within the Far Realm, a place of extraplanar madness inhabited by unspeakable horrors. While most ullagons operate independently, a few have been found alongside aberrations, particularly mind flayers. The brains extracted by an ullagon can be consumed by illithids, but there is no evidence that they can create or even control these constructs. Constructed Nature. An ullagon doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep. |
