Goblin Lord

Physical Description

A taller and more muscular version of a normal goblin. Goblins are short and wiry goblinoids with flat faces, red or yellow eyes, bulbous noses, pointed ears, and sharp teeth. Their appearance isn’t helped by their lack of hygiene and they’re usually dressed in dirty leathers or tattered rags. Their skin color ranges through various shades of yellow, orange, and red, occasionally verging into green. Goblin tribes usually have a strong familial link, and most goblins of any given tribe usually share the same skin color. Goblins adore status symbols, and most goblins will bear some item or mark that in some way elevates them in goblin society. This could be anything from a piercing or tattoo, to some precious accessory pilfered from the outside civilization.

History

Goblin Lords are very rare in goblin society, they are born of normal goblins who have something different within them that causes them to mutate and change into a Goblin Lord they are smarter and much more ambitious they grow and learn with time and have a natural ability to lead and govern. The mutation that triggers the change into a Goblin Lord can occur at anytime after a Goblin reaches full maturity, no one knows what causes it. Whenever one arises among a goblin tribe that tribe tends to prosper due to the cunning leadership and tactics of a Goblin Lord. Goblin Lords are quick to cower and even quicker to strike if you decide to turn your back to it.

Society

Goblins are small, black-hearted humanoids that lair in despoiled dungeons and other dismal settings. Individually weak, they gather in large numbers to torment other creatures. Goblins belong to a family of creatures called goblinoids. their larger cousins, hobgoblins and bugbears, like to bully goblins into submission. Goblins are lazy and undisciplined, making them poor servants, laborers or guards. Or so it should be, most known knowledge of goblin society can be forgotten when you introduce a Goblin lord to the mix. Goblins living under the rule of a Goblin lord tend to be more disciplined than the average goblins, sometimes even hobgoblins and bugbears submit to them.
