Spidersilk Blast
Lesser; 5th; Blast Shape

Instead of using a standard eldritch blast, you may unleash a spidersilk blast.  The spidersilk blast has a close range (25 feet + 5 feet per two caster levels). Instead of dealing damage, however, if your spidersilk blast successfully hits the target, they become wrapped in a web of preternaturally strong spider silk, being subjected to the paralyzed condition, though they may still speak and are fully aware of their surroundings.

The victim of a spidersilk blast can attempt a Strength (with a DC of 10 + 1/2 your effective caster level + your Charisma modifier) to break free as a standard action.  Failure indicates that they remain bound for 1 minute per caster level, or until you will the webs to dissolve as a swift action, whichever comes first.  An additional attempt to break free can occur in each subsequent round, but doing so increases the DC by +2 as the webbing constructs and becomes more rigid.

Spidersilk blast does not benefit from most eldritch essences.
