Dark Amorphous. The Shadow Soldier can fit through a space as narrow as 1 inch without squeezing as long as both it and the space are in dim light or darkness.

Shadow Stealth. While in dim light or darkness, the Shadow Soldier can take the Hide action as a bonus action.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The Shadow Soldier makes two Shadow Spear attacks. It can replace up to one of these attacks with a Strength Drain attack.

Shadow Spear. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage +4 (1d8) necrotic damage.

Strength Drain. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) necrotic damage, and the target's Strength score is reduced by 1d4. The target dies if this reduces its Strength to 0. Otherwise, the reduction lasts until the target finishes a short or long rest.

Shadow Soldiers appear as tall humanoids clad in black shadowy armor. Tendrils of smoke curl from them as they move, and slits in their armor glow with eerie blue light. Summoned by powerful individuals called Shadow Monarchs, Shadow Soldiers serve their masters unquestioningly. Although they may begin their existence as mindless shades, Shadow Soldiers can develop personalities over time, often mimicking the actions and behavior of another creature who's presence they are often in, such as their master.

Rank 3 Shadow Soldiers possess a level of skill which is much the equal of the ranks 2s. However, in addition to being tougher than the rank 2s, they also have the ability to sap a creature's strength, leaving it weak and vulnerable, if not outright killing it.

Undead Nature. The Shadow Soldier doesn't need to eat, sleep, drink, or breathe.
