Dwindle Dwarf (5e Subrace)
From D&D Wiki
Who are the Dwindle Dwarves?
Only some know of the origin of the Dwindle Dwarves. This sub-race of dwarves was made when a god of life tried to copy the original dwarf race with his own creation. The god of the forge, who was the creator of original dwarves, took pity on the life gods' attempts to create a similar race, and decided to make them a part of the overall dwarven race. The only catch? They could not be larger than his original creation, so that they would always be "half of the men my real dwarves are!" Dwindle dwarves dwell in small homes and caves, usually in large family units.
