Innate Spellcasting (1/Day). The cat can innately cast darkness, requiring no material components. Its innate spellcasting ability is Charisma.

Keen Smell. The cat has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

ACTIONS

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d4) slashing damage.

Shadow Pounce. When the cat is in dim light or darkness, it can use a bonus action to magically teleport up to 40 feet to an unoccupied space it can see that is also in dim light or darkness. It then has advantage on the first melee attack it makes before the end of its turn.

A common house cat at first glance. It isn't until they disappear into the shadows, only to seemingly reappear somewhere else that their true abilities are revealed.

Some say they're cats native to the Underdark. Some say they're cats that have been touched by the Shadowfell. Others say they're a fairy tale. Others still say they're not cats at all, but spies. Agents sent from realms unknown to gather information on the material plane. While people debate their origin, there is one thing is undeniable; there's an uncanny intelligence behind those glowing yellow eyes...

They're always watching, just out of sight, but who are they watching? And why?

(A more interesting cat. For fighting or friending, but probably not for familiar-ing. This is my first published creature and needs balancing/playtesting.)
