Fire wolves stand as tall as a dire wolf with its strength too, and they are much like winter wolves, but more... you know... fiery. They have jet-black fur and bright red eyes, not to mention that their whole bodies are on fire pretty much all the time. They are mostly found near sites of forest fires and controlled burns, sometimes at the bases of volcanoes, but that's really rare. They are adored by fire giants and fire elementals as pets and guard dogs. They are frequently seen as beings of poor luck since every time someone's seen one, the next day, the village they lived in would be burned to the ground, sometimes with them in their homes. They tend to stick close to their own kind or something similar like dire wolves or blink dogs. When they are mixed into a fire wolf's pack, the fire wolf adapts its attack strategies to utilize them or protect the different dogs. |
