REACTIONS

Acidic Slime. If a creature misses the consumer with a melee attack while within 10 feet of it, it must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or take 5 (1d10) acid damage.

Consumers are six-foot orbs with a single eye and a large tooth-filled maw surrounded by six, five-foot long flexible stalks ending in smaller mouths.
The alien consumers come from a dimension that mirrors the one that beholders are from. They are extremely vicious predators living in jungles, forests and swamps. They have primitive intelligence but are wise in the knowledge of the environment.
