Slippery. The eel has advantage on ability checks and saving throws made to escape a grapple.

Water Breathing. The eel can breathe only underwater.

ACTIONS

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 14). The eel can only grapple one creature at a time. At the start of each of the eel's turns while it is grappling a creature, it automatically deals 9 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage as its inner jaws sink into the target.

Giant eels lurk in underwater dens, striking out at anything that draws near that seems edible. A giant eel's bite is incredibly painful, and its inner jaws sink into anything it catches in its main jaw. Some giants hunt these eels by hand, sometimes competing with others to catch the most eels, a difficult task, considering the eel's strength and the ease that it can slide out of another's grasp.
